selser is right! Blendtec: please advise removing seeds before pulverizing apples in all of your apple recipes. Apple seeds contain cyanide. If accidentally eaten whole, the seeds have a protective covering and generally pass through unhindered, releasing no cyanide. But if we pulverize them in a recipe like this, the cyanide would be released and could be poisonous.

So, you peel the apples, but don’t core them? Do you have a weight for the apples? Apples can vary a lot in size. Thanks!

Thanks for your input Sandy. The only reason I mentioned it was the BlendTec rep that sold me my BlendTec told me specifically to never injest apple seeds, that they were poison to us. I had never heard that and I probably would have used the whole apple. Can I use whole apples daily without any effect? Are their any nutritonal benefits to the seeds? Also, I would rather keep the skin on the apple for the fiber and nutruition. Any thoughts?

substitute the caramel with a Tbsp of organic coconut oil and a teaspoon of organic grassfed butter. It is creamy and delicious with no sugar or artificially flavored candy. Lots of good fats that our body needs!!!
