Instructions
- Add almonds to Twister jar, and place lid on jar.
- Hold lid with one hand, and with other hand set on a Medium to Medium-High speed.
- Turn lid counterclockwise during blending. Run for 50 seconds.
- Add salt to taste.
Note: For almond butter using raw almonds, blend 1½ cups of raw almonds and 1-2 tbsp. of almond oil at speed 7 (or a Medium-High speed) until smooth and creamy.
You should use the high speed. Happy blending!
Perfect! I made this in my Blendtec 570 with the twister jar. I just blended up the almonds raw first on low for 20 seconds, medium for another 30, then did another cycle on high for 50 seconds. It was smooth! I did 30 more seconds on "high" (just for fun) and it was perfectly smooth and glossy!
I just made almond/brazil nut butter and yes it climbs the walls at first (on low speed) so you scrape a couple times. Then all of a sudden the oils escape and it blends into nut butter almost instantly. You can crank it to high then for 30 sec or so then it’s done. Sooo good too!
PROTIP: Use about 3 cups of nuts for WildSide jar… too little won’t work well.
I’m not sure if it was a freak accident but I followed the exact instructions and my jar is now dead. It burnt the rubber on the blade bottom and it came off in pieces.
