Notes
For a raw version of the recipe, use raw almonds instead of roasted almonds and use coconut oil instead of shredded coconut. Follow recipe directions above, but blend for a total of 50–60 seconds.
Ok I love you again. So I tried this again, only I just blended up the almonds raw first on low for 20 seconds, medium for another 30, then did another cycle on high for 50 seconds. It was smooth! I did 30 more seconds on "high" (just for fun) and it was perfectly smooth and glossy! I then added the other ingredients on the list and it came together perfectly. Maybe the problem was just adding everything at the same time.
I also made hummus this morning and it was so good! Loving this twister jar ;)
So glad it worked for you! We tested it again (and with the 570) and it worked just fine so I’m not sure what the problem was before. Also, just so you don’t worry, it’s normal for the almonds to get hot during blending.
If it’s too thick to blend add some MELTED coconut oil. It will thin it out.
I want to make this in my wild side jar with 570 classic series any tips before I waste ingredients
Use roasted almonds. Know that you’ll have to stop the blender and scrape the sides of the jar down several times during blending so it’s a bit more work. Happy blending!
