I had the more standard model blendtec for about 4 years and it was always a fantastic blender and pretty much got the job done. I thought I'd give the vitamix a shot, since I heard so many things about their tamper and how well it provides smooth blends. Purchased one and found it weak, and couldn't quite handle the more solid and frozen items quite like the blendtec could. And the tamper was annoying. I ended up returning it. I got this beast, because I felt an upgrade was in order. Wow, I didn't realize just how amazing this thing is until I finally stated using it! VERY quiet and pretty much blends ANYTHING you put in that jar. Worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Airblender from Impressive! I recently bought the Blendtec Stealth. I have used Vitamix, Blendtec, and Breville in the past. This is very similar in performance to my Blendtec 625 that I had, but it is SO MUCH more quiet and a bit more powerful. The only down side is that there seems to be some factory grease on it from out of the box that doesn't seem to be water soluble. It's frustrating because it is such a beautiful looking machine, but then I have this dark grease on it, which gets on my hands and is kind of sticky. Maybe I just got unlucky with that. I digress, this is truly an impressive machine!

I bought this at the beginning of the year (my husband wasn't thrilled with the price) and for the past 8 months it has been the greatest addition to my kitchen and food prep. It grinds nuts without a stutter and purées anything in no time. It's quiet, beyond easy to clean and looks amazing! (My husband is now a huge fan and says he's so glad he got it for me - ha!). Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Our bar area is pretty small and any other blender we've had has just been too loud. This one can be run without anyone struggling to hear! It also blends the smoothest drinks of any blender I've tried. It's an amazing product and I highly recommend it!
