I’m new at this, do I bake the pie on the middle rack of the oven?
can u substitute almond milk for low-fat milk? I don’t like coconut milk. If so how much almond milk, 1/2 c? thank you
Yes, you can! You can substitute any milk. Just know that the type of milk will alter the taste a little. You can substitute 1:1 (so, 1 cup low-fat milk = 1 cup almond milk). Happy blending!
I made this but used vegetable broth and almond milk. I also threw in two hot peppers and a cup of beans from my garden. It came out real creamy and tasted good. I needed to press the soup cycle three times as well.
This is an awesome recipe for those on the go!! I had accidentally used an entire head of garlic instead of a clove (newb status), and it came out overwhelmingly garlic-y. Not to worry- I added some cooked carrots (2 large, peeled) and a small whole Idaho potato to balance the taste. It was wonderful. I didn’t have cumin or oregano so I subsituted with paprika and fresh basil.
The following day I had leftovers so I decided to add some curry powder, coconut milk, cooked mung beans, some garlic powder and leftover ground meat for my spring roll filling…voila! The sweet potatoe bisque was a perfect base for my impromptu curry. ??
