This seems delicious. Can not be sure though b/c have not tried it. But I was browsing the net and was awed to read all the benefits of coconut: http://x.co/8nIns

Made this spread to dip apples in… Doubled the recipe and Used the wild side blender and it worked just fine! I would just slowly increase the speed and stop every few seconds to scrape down. Maybe because all my smoothies are super thick I’m used to this but I had no problem with this recipe… Okay maybe just stopping eating it. Addicting!

I know I’m a little late to the game, but I just tried this recipe and it is fabulous! I toasted my almonds in a dry skillet and let them cool, then put everything in the blendtec twister jar (using stevia as sweetener). I let it go on the lowest speed until it was all ground and starting to stick together, then gradually increased the speed. I find I have the most success making nut butter on low speed until it looks like nut butter but not quite smooth, then increase the speed. So delicious.

I made some this morning except using pure coco paste, 230gr almonds
med blitz then add 230gr coco paste, I started to pulse as it got thick
as the coco melted , machine over heated and saw some light smoke rise

I just made this in my 725 using the Twister jar – it turned out just fine although I had to put it back through the blender on high-speed for 30 more seconds to get it more smooth. I read that many people had a hard time getting this recipe to work in there four-sided jars, so I am certain that you should only use the twister or the wild side jar. The other thing is that you cannot use raw almonds; roasting the almonds brings out the oils that are essential to make this recipe. Otherwise you will need to add some coconut oil. I’m not sure I will make this recipe again as it did seem to tax my machine more than I would like it to, and because of the oils in the almond butter the contents innthe jar heated up as I made it, even producing a little smoke from the butter itself. I did end up stirring in some extra teaspoons of sugar.
