It is totally possible in the Wildside+ Jar since I just made it 10 minutes ago in it. You’ll want to use 3 cups (plus a few more) of dry roasted almonds (if you don’t want to add any oil) Start off on a slow speed to get it going, about 20 seconds or so. Scrape down the sides if you need to, then bring it to highest speed. Scrape as necessary…repeat once more, and voila….perfect, creamy almond butter. I used salted almonds, but it still needed more salt (for my tastes) and added a half packet of Splenda for some sweetness. Tastes flippin AWESOME! :)
how much almonds for the mini twister jar? I am going to roast my raw almonds at 350 for about 10 min. Saw this online somewhere.
Start with 1 cup and see how it goes. If you think you can add more, then put another 1/4-1/2 cup in. Happy blending!
I made this yesterday in the mini twister jar. I used l-1/4 cups roasted almonds as suggested by Blendtec. It came out perfectly. We ate it with apple slices and it was terrific! I bought a 3 lb bag of almonds at Costco and put them in the freezer. Now I can make almond butter whenever I want!
The Costco brand almonds are not roasted.
