Tomato-Basil Soup Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 10 fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup half-and-half warmed
- 4 cups tomatoes
- 3 cups tomato juice

Instructions
- Heat butter in large saucepan, stirring continuously until butter begins to brown.
- Stir in broth and 2 cups tomato juice.
- To WildSide+ jar, add remaining tomato juice, diced tomatoes, and basil leaves. Secure lid and select "Whole Juice."
- Pour tomato-basil blend into saucepan, and simmer for 15–20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Add half-and-half to sauce pan and stir.
Notes
Garnish with basil and cracked pepper.
Seriously, this is aggravating. I thought the whole thing about this blender was it cooked the soup for you. There is nothing specific to Blentec in this recipe except it seems so many recipes specify the wild side jar and the upscale button selections.
Some of us just have the regular Blendtec…that doesn’t seem good enough for Blendtec because none of the recipes seem to be for the "Blendtec" I own.
i remember seeing a demostration of tomato soup, where it was just garlic , whole tomato and basil, no sauce pan. Can you still do it that way? I thought that was blendtec "official" way of making tomato soup
