Scones with Currants Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup currants or raisins
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 3/4 cup margarine or butter

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt to Mix n Blend II mixing bowl. Cut in butter, and add currants or raisins.
- Gradually add buttermilk, beating at Speed 5 until dough clings together.
- Turn onto floured surface, and gently roll into ½-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch round pastry cutter or glass, and place on cookie sheet.
- Brush tops with buttermilk, and bake for approximately 15 minutes.
My favorite….I love scones…..I add chopped dried apricots and it’s heaven with every bite. Lol
