National Frozen Yogurt Day
February 6th is National Frozen Yogurt Day! Yes, I know it's the middle of winter and for many of you that means it's still cold outside. But even though it's freezing here in Utah, I can 't resist a delicious cup of frozen yogurt—it just tastes so delicious. In honor of National Frozen Yogurt Day, many businesses give away free frozen yogurt. That's right: free. So be sure to find out if any businesses near you are offering this delicious, mouth-watering treat gratis. Or you can make fresh frozen yogurt in your Blendtec blender. Try the following peach yogurt recipe, or check out the variations below if you're in the mood for a different flavor. Hi. I don’t, have a “frozen yogurt” bottom on my blendtec (I have the classic)
Which settings do you press to make frozen yogurt?
Thanks!
Molly
Blend on Low (speed 1 or 2) for 15 seconds, then blend on Medium High for 30 seconds.
Hi LJ,
Try adding more frozen and /or less unfrozen fruit. Usually a ratio of 2:1 (2 parts frozen to 1 part unfrozen) does the trick. Give that a try and let us know if it works or not.
Love the frozen yoghurt idea, tried it, but only got a smoothie out of it. How do you make it more like frozen yogurt? I tried to freeze it but that only iced it.
Mine came out like a smoothie. I assume you have to loosen all of the frozen berries stuck together in big chunks first. After the first go-round, big chunks of frozen berries still remained. After the second time… smoothie. :(
