Hummus Recipe

Hummus is an inexpensive, high-fiber and protein-packed food, yet only a few home chefs dabble in this dip. This Middle Eastern mixture of chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, and tahini has endless possibilities, so there's no reason for hummus humdrum.

Do you buy chickpeas in cans? I have never made this yet. Thanks
Yes, you can buy chickpeas in cans at most grocery stores.
I am loving my new Blentec. I made the red pepper hummus, placing the ingredients in the jar in the order listed. When I turned it on, I was surprised that the base spun around 180 degrees before I could turn it off. Do I need a rubber mat under the base?… my counter is very smooth – just polished.
A bit bland so I added two additional tablespoons of lemon juice and an additional clove of garlic.
do you use 1/3C or 1/2C of bean liquid? Recipe book has an error
