Hummus Recipe

hummus recipe
Hummus is an inexpensive, high-fiber and protein-packed food, yet only a few home chefs dabble in this dip. This Middle Eastern mixture of chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, and tahini has endless possibilities, so there's no reason for hummus humdrum.

This is a wonderful recipe! I used it the second time I made hummus with the Blendtec; the first recipe didn’t have the proportions quite right. I used Rancho Gordo chickpeas, unhulled sesame seeds, and the rest of the ingredients listed. Fabulous! The only problem, and a concern for the future, is that the motor overheated. A horrible smell came from the machine (did it poison my food?!) and the machine stopped working temporarily. This happened once before when I was making ice cream. But that’s a different matter. In terms of taste and ease of preparation, this recipe is a winner.

Amazing recipe, added 1/2 tsp cumin( per another review), added extra garlic, rinsed the beans and used less water than 1/3c..BINGO!! It’s defiantly a keeper!! Made in the twister jar!
