I just bought my blendtec 625 this afternoon and am scared… I tried my favorite juicing recipe and it has not liquid or water: 3 carrots, 1 lime, 1 stalk celery, 1 inch ginger, 1 cored apple. I put the apples in first, then the celery and then lime with rind on, and chopped and peeled the ginger, and then the carrots which were fat, so I cut them into about thumb size pieces or larger… No liquid. I turned it on, and pushed the "whole juice" button, and the blender seemed to be working too hard. So I turned it off and came in here… I don’t want to break it on its first ride!!!!!
Some liquid will need to be added to this recipe. We suggest adding about 1-2 cups of water to the recipe and then it should blend just fine on the "Whole Juice" cycle. Happy blending!
I think what they mean by a cup is the universal measure (250ml)
Try setting the jar outside in direct sunlight for a while. Direct sunlight removes tomato sauce stains on plastic containers, perhaps it’ll work for carrot stains as well.
Well, that was a terribly unsatisfying project. I love carrot juice, but just fired up my Blendtec for the first time, and not at all impressed with how this came out — extremely poor. Quite thin with all of the water (and I only used one cup for 500 grams of carrots, but the machine couldn’t handle the carrots without it). If I’m going to need to add water to get juice out of vegetables, I know that I won’t likely be satisfied with this machine at all.
