5 Festive Holiday Recipes
It's the most wonderful time of the year! I think most will agree, one of the best things about the holidays are the delicious foods and drinks. Here are a few of our favorites this year.
Holiday Cranberry Cookies
Ingredients
½ cup butter, softened
1 egg
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp kosher or sea salt
1⅔ cup rolled oats
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Add first 5 ingredients to jar and secure lid.
- Blend on Speed 1 (Low) for 15 seconds.
- Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and 1 cup oats to jar and secure lid.
- Blend on Speed 1 (Low) for 10 seconds.
- Using a Spoonula or rubber scraper, fold in remaining oats, cranberries and chocolate chips.
- Spoon tablespoon size balls onto parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
Flavored Hot Chocolate
Ingredients1¼ cups low-fat milk (or your choice of milk)
1¼ cups water
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
¼ cup brown sugar
Flavor Options:
1 tsp orange extract
1 tsp peppermint extract or 1 candy cane
1 tsp raspberry extract or ¼ cup raspberries
1 tsp hazelnut extract or 1 tbsp toasted hazelnuts
1 tbsp caramel pieces
1 tsp coconut extract or 1 tbsp toasted coconut flakes
1 tsp orange extract
1 tsp peppermint extract or 1 candy cane
1 tsp raspberry extract or ¼ cup raspberries
1 tsp hazelnut extract or 1 tbsp toasted hazelnuts
1 tbsp caramel pieces
1 tsp coconut extract or 1 tbsp toasted coconut flakes
Instructions
- Add ingredients to jar in order listed and secure lid. Select "Soup" or "Hot" and run 2 full cycles.
- If your blender does not have a "Soup" or Hot" cycle, blend on High (speed 9) for 180 seconds.
Cookie Butter
Ingredients
1½ cups cookies, halved (Biscoff, ginger snap, graham crackers, etc.)
1½ tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp cashews, roasted
2 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to Twister jar in order listed and place Twister lid on jar. Hold Twister lid with one hand, and with other hand select Speed 7.
- Blend for 35 seconds for a chunky texture or 50 seconds for a smooth, spreadable texture.
- Turn the Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.
Eggnog French Toast
Ingredients6 eggs
8 fl oz eggnog
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1 loaf Texas toast
Instructions
- Add eggs, egg nog, and nutmeg to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid. "Pulse" 5-7 times.
- Pour egg mixture into pie plate.
- Grease griddle or other pan.
- Dip one slice of Texas toast into egg mixture, and then flip slice to coat other side.
- Place slice on griddle over medium- to medium-high heat, and cook approximately 3 minutes or until underside is golden brown.
- Flip and cook approximately 1 mintue.
- Repeat with remaining bread slices.
- Keep warm in oven at 200°F, loosely wrapped in foil, or serve immediately.
Blackberry Thyme Preserves
Ingredients3 cups blackberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup honey
1 tsp fresh thyme
1 pkg powdered pectin
Instructions
- Add ingredients to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid.
- Select "Batters" or blend on Medium Low (speed 3 or 4) for 30 seconds.
Yields: 28 ounces
Serve as a spread or even a chutney or over a soft cheese eaten with crackers. Good for up to three weeks, when stored in the fridge. Happy Holidays!

I love the berry preserves. i used a toothpick dipped in Thyme oil because I didn’t have the Thyme (no pun intended..) and it tastes amazing. What a cool accent – Thanks!
