Ingredients

  • 3 cups mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup 100% fruit juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar, honey, or agave
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp. gelatin or 5 plain gelatin packets

Instructions

  1. Add berries and juice to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Select "Smoothie" setting. If you desire to remove seeds from fruit snacks, push the fruit puree through a sieve. 
  2. Heat berry puree, sweetener, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbly. Remove from heat and slowly stir in gelatin until no clumps are visible.
  3. Pour into a 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  4. Once snacks have set, remove from pan and cut into pieces. 

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use agar powder in place of gelatin.

    Can this be made with other fruits? There is only a handful of fresh fruits I can get my son to eat because he has issues with food textures. It would be great if I could turn some of those other fruits into snacks that he wouldn’t have an issue with textures. Smoothies are great, but aren’t always portable.

    I am going to try this but will leave out the sugar to make this healthier. My kids love berry smoothies and fruit roll ups with no added sugar.

    Just use Splenda instead of sugar
