Apple Compote Recipe
This dessert is a great way to use apples this fall.

Ingredients
- 3 apples cored and quartered
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- 3 tbsp. orange juice
- 1/4 cup pecans

Instructions
- Add half of apple pieces to WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Press “Pulse” 8–10 times.
- Pour pulsed apples into medium saucepan.
- Add other half of apples and remaining ingredients to WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Press "Pulse" 8–10 times.
- Pour mixture into saucepan, and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes or until apples pieces are soft and mixture is thick.
- Serve with your favorite ice cream.
I have to agree with the last reviewer and beg for an ice-cream recipe that is not going to gain any points from being healthy. Just a nice basic recipe that you could add some fruit or flavoring. It would be nice not to have a banana in it
We were a bit disappointed. It turned out like cinnamon applesauce. It needed more of a kick to it. I’d also like a Blendtec vanilla icecream recipe (I couldn’t find one). We used the Popeye icecream and should have frozen it first because it immediately liquefied once the warm compote was added.
