Sneaky Green Smoothies
We can't all eat spinach from the can like Popeye but we can all benefit from the nutrients that super foods like spinach provide to keep us strong and healthy. Spinach and other leafy greens are dense with vitamins and minerals that can help everything from our skin to our bones.
Since it can be difficult to make ourselves - or our kids - drink things that look like vegetables, here are three recipes with greens that aren't-so-green.

Hi LeeAnn,
Unfortunately, we don’t have any smoothie recipes that use both avocado and vanilla. Thanks for the idea, this is something we’ll look into.
Hi Sheela,
Bananas are used for the health benefits, but also because they give smoothies a creamier texture. You can either leave the banana out, or use an avocado or yogurt to get the same creamy texture. As for the tree nuts, we suggest that you just leave those out of the recipe all together.
Here’s some smoothie recipes that have no bananas or tree nuts:
Acai Berry Smoothie
Basic Green Smoothie

Peach Yogurt Cooler
Lately I have been adding organic kiwifruit and a small piece of fresh ginger root to our morning green drink. Very refreshing.
Do you have a recipe for an avocado/vanilla recipe
I use my Blendtec everyday, but not always for food! I make laundry soap too, blending the dry ingredients to a fine powder using the wildside jar.
