Dairy-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake
By Brad Young of Young Healthy Kitchen
What is one popular snack that has been around for what seems like forever? The milkshake. People have been enjoying milkshakes for decades, from the classic chocolate dating back to the long forgotten drive-in to the unique mixtures of today. These days, it seems if you can dream up a type or flavor of milkshake, there’s probably a restaurant where you can find it. Think about it—who doesn’t love a good ole milkshake?
People who can’t have dairy, that’s who. Granted, they may still love them, they just don’t love the sick feeling afterwards. When we found out one of our daughters was allergic to dairy, among other essentials, we had to think quick on our feet and really change our meal plans. One of my favorite memories was always “daddy daughter date night” and the first choice always seemed to be milkshakes. So we started to research ways to find as many items as possible that she could still have.
And lo and behold, one thing we actually found a way to make was a milkshake. (I guess calling it a milkshake is not technically correct due to the lack of ice cream in it, but to keep it fun for her we still call it a milkshake.) So, let’s dive right and make this non-dairy shake that the lactose-intolerant members of your family can start enjoying. My daughter appropriately named this delicious shake Chocolate Peanut Butter Delight.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake
Ingredients
1 cup of crushed or cubed ice
1 cup of chocolate almond milk
1 tbsp of peanut butter
½ tsp of honey
1 banana
Instructions
Place all items in your Blendtec blender and blend on "Ice Cream" setting, then pour into glasses and serve immediately. Add a couple banana slices to edge of glass for an extra appeal. This is a great tasting chocolate peanut butter shake that even milk lovers will enjoy. It’s also a great vegan and gluten free snack that all can enjoy.

It’s looking great. Banana is one of my favorite fruit. We should add juices in our daily routine because Juices are very beneficial for our health. Thanks for sharing this yummy juice recipe.
