How much do these recipes make? I would love to make the soup but need to know how much it makes. Thanks!!!
Hi Kelli. I didn’t see your reply earlier and I tried to make cider last night by putting apple chunks in the Blendtec and selecting “whole juice.” Ran that cycle twice. Got applesauce. I had wanted a reduced cider syrup (boiled cider) and thought (hoped) my results might turn into that when I heated them but I just got hot applesauce.
The only difference I see in the wassail recipe is the 1/4 orange and the spices. Does the citrus (or is it the liquid from the orange) make the difference to turn it from applesauce into cider? Should I have run it through the “whole juice” cycle a time or two more?
Here’s a great apple cider recipe you can try out: Speedy Wassail
Would love a recipe for apple cider. Am planning to core and chop apples, then run them through the smoothie cycle. Sound like a plan or is there more to it?
